Acting responsibly every step of the way

Adding value to the local community in the vicinity of our College at Moreton-in-Marsh.

We are committed to growing the College in a transparent and responsible way. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means different things to different businesses. For us, it means acting responsibly in all that we do. It’s also about adding value, not only in our commercial activities, but beyond these to support all our stakeholders, including the communities in which we work.

Our responsible behaviours underpin our business, enhance our diverse relationships and motivate our people. The result for us all is a better and more sustainable business.

A good neighbour

Working hard at being a good neighbour is central to our CSR strategy. That’s why we have plans in place to develop the Moreton-in-Marsh site so that we maximise its contribution to the local community. Since Capita took control of the College in March 2013 we have been looking at opportunities to contribute in a number of ways.

Here are just a few ways in which we are already adding value to the local community:

  • Fitness first: we have extended weekend opening of our Sports Centre to Moreton-in-Marsh residents
  • Job creation: we’re boosting the local job market with apprenticeships and our ongoing site development  programme (new Eco efficient accommodation blocks and campus development, potential Enterprise Park, and Hot)
  • Support for charities: we make a difference in the local community we serve with a number of charitable sponsorships and initiatives
