Firefighter training group dousing flames
Why use the FSC?

Benefits to delegates

Specialised Expertise: We are a renowned institution with a long-standing history of providing specialised training for firefighters not just in the UK but all over the world. Because of the knowledge and experience that we have and our SMEs have, we can be specific to the needs of the UK FRS and can bespoke our training, even replicating risk in that particular Services geographical area.

Comprehensive Curriculum: We are able to cover a large number of different aspects of firefighting and rescue operations, including theoretical knowledge and practical skills so offer blended learning, and are able to meet the specific requirements and standards set by NOG, NOS etc, as well as accreditation bodies like SFJ.

State-of-the-Art ‘real life’ immersive venues: We can also use purpose-built simulation environments, mock-up structures, and the latest equipment. This means that delegates or learners can get hands-on experience in realistic scenarios, enhancing their preparedness for real-life situations that they might come across back in service.

Cross fertilisation of ideas: Training at FSC means that you can interact with other learners and instructors from various fire and rescue services across the UK. This networking can help foster collaboration, sharing of best practice, and building your network.

Accreditation: Training with us is accredited by relevant authorities such as SFJ.

Location: availability of specific courses, on site accommodation, swimming pool and gym facilities as well as a dedicated Account Manager that can be used as a resource and a go between or consistent point of contact between each FRS and the FSC to ensure everything can run as smoothly as possible, or can be sorted quickly if there is an issue means that the FSC is an excellent choice as a training provider.

CPD: Continuous professional development opportunities through career progression, specialised training, leadership, Incident Command CPD so learners can stay up to date with all the latest developments within a certain subject.

We have been a customer of and worked closely with the Fire Service College for many years now. We see this relationship as more of a partnership than a typical client and training provider arrangement, which is borne out in how programmes have developed over the years to meet our requirements. The Fire Service College stands tall in the realms of facilities and learning opportunities and having a dedicated Account Manager that is acutely aware of and responsive to our needs is a real positive for us.
