We are pleased to announce that Heathrow has chosen the Fire Service College (FSC) to train its newly recruited firefighters on our newly developed Aviation Firefighter Initial Course.
The course lasting five weeks will ensure that Heathrow’s firefighters will be trained, assessed and mentored through this transformational programme to the highest international standards.
“We are delighted to be able to launch our highly innovative Aviation Firefighter Initial Course with London Heathrow Airport, one of the world’s most important and busiest airports. Civil aviation training is an integral part of our strategy, and we are looking forward to continuing to expand our courses and programmes offered in this
sector,” said Dominik Wellmann, Managing Director of the Fire Service College.
Gary Barthram, Heathrow’s Chief Fire Officer, added: “We are excited to see the Fire Service College moving into the sector and welcome their support to train the latest colleagues joining us here at the airport. Their move into aviation follows the long standing and highly regarded training courses they already provide for fire and rescue services worldwide.”
